grapevine NIP

Neural Interface Processor

Overview

The grapevine NIP data acquisition system is designed for high-channel count neurophysiology research and advanced neural interface applications. The Neural Interface Processor provides a real-time platform for closed-loop experiments.

The grapevine NIP can simultaneously sample up to 512 channels of microelectrode, LFP, ECoG, EEG, EMG, or in vitro MEA data. Front end amplifiers attach to your electrode connectors and stream digitized signals into the NIP to provide low-noise data collection. System configurations are available for in vitro, animal, and human research applications.

The grapevine NIP runs on the Trellis Software Suite to conduct experimental protocols. The software is capable of many functions including displaying data online with upcoming spike sorting capabilities and a complete SDK. Trellis provides a framework for instrument configuration, data visualization, digital signal processing, and real-time feedback protocol development.
